- Adonis/Adon/Adonai
- "Lord"; Ancient Semitic god. Connected with Aphrodite and Persephone. Celebration of his death and subsequent resurrection was at the spring equinox. God of rebirth and seasons, love and beauty.
- Apollo
- "Shining"; God of solar light; greatest of the gods after Zeus. Twin brother of Artemis, his chariot was pulled by golden horses. He used the bow and lyre with skill. His arrows brought illness or death. Pictured as extremely handsome, perfectly built with fair hair. He was bi-sexual, a possible result of his worshippers overrunning and absorbing a matriarch, such as at Delphi. He represented a lawful punishment of crimes, not revenge; justified revenge. He demanded tolerance of his followers. The laurel was sacred to him. Patron of priests. God of prophecy, poetry, music, medicine, oracles, healing, reason, inspiration, magick, the arts, divination, harmony, spiritual goals gained through use of the arts, ravens, earthquakes, woodlands, springs.
- Ares
- The Greeks did not care much for him as they thought this god was blood-thirsty and a liar. He wore a crested helmet, and was thought of as very tough, insensitive, and greatly concerned with his male image. god of war, terror, uncontrolled anger, revenge, courage without thought, raw energy, brute strength, untamed passions, any situation where sheer stamina is needed. Do not invoke Ares unless you are very self-disciplined.
- Asclepius/Askepios/Aesclepius
- Son of Apollo; god of healing. He learned the arts of hunting and medicine from the centaur Chiron. His sons Machaon and Podalirius served as doctors during the siege of Troy, while his daughters Hygeia (good health) and Panacea (helper) were temple physicians. these children founded the college of medicine, the Asklepiades, which taught medicine as a sacred secret. Vast libraries were also in the temples. Symbols were mortar and pestle, garlic, spuill. His cult was active at Cos, Epidaurus, and Pergamus, where there were sleep and dream temples for healing. God of snakes, revival of the dead, healing.

- God of the North Wind; prosperity, growth, riches. He was pictured with a man's upper body and a serpent's tail; sometimes winged and with two faces, looking forward and backward. The most important of the four wind gods; others were: Zephyrus, West, calm, peace of mind, love and the emotions; Notos, South, happiness, change, and Erurs/Apheliotes, East, renewing, intelligence. Aeolus was the keeper of the winds, but not always capable of controlling them.

- Father Time; the Old King; Father of the Gods; the Great Lesson-Giver; Ruler of the Golden Age. Titan son of Gaea and Uranus. God of abundance and agriculture, Earth's riches, prosperity. Inventor of the arts and magick.

- Dionysus
- "horned God"; "Savior"; "The bull-horned god"; also called Dithyrambos ("double-birth" or "twice born"); The Roaring One; the Initiated. The vine, wine, and ivy were sacred to him. Symbols were the panpipes, thyrsus, rhyton, tambourine, wicker winnowing basket, chalice, and cymbals. His tutor was Silenus, a satyr. Most of his followers were women, called the Maenads, who held drunken, oriastic rituals; they were known to tear men apart with their bare hands. The Centaurs and Satyrs were also followers. At Eleusis, the god appeared as the Holy Child Iacchus laid in the winnowing basket. Dionysus was the great remover of inhibition and influences the human emotions. He was the god of pleasure, ecstasy, total abandon, woodlands, Nature, wine, initiation, rituals, rebirth, regeneration, civilization.

- God of Bringing Together; God of erotic love, both homosexual and heterosexual. Shown as a beautiful but wanton boy with a golden quiver of arrows of desire and physical attraction. He was a dangerous force that could drive men and women to useless self-sacrifice.

- Hades
- "The invisible one"; brother of Zeus; ruler of the Underworld. His helmet of invisibility allowed only the initiated to see him. Also called Pluton, Lord of Riches. His principal temples were at Pylos, Athens, and Olympia in Elis. He was goth the mysterious, terrifying god of death and the benign god of prosperity. The house of Hades was the place of shades, or the dead. God of crops, minerals, spring water, gem stones, material gain, elimination of fear of death, astral projection.
- Helios
- Sun god (of the actual sun). Nine (some say seven) winged white firebreathing horses pulled his golden chariot, and he wore a golden helmet and breastplate. God of riches, enlightenment, victory.
- Hephaestus
- He was a magician of metal and gems for the Olympians; he made a scepter and the dreaded aegis for Zeus (Later worn by Athene), and armor for Achilles and Memnon. His workshops were said to be under the Earth, one of them within Mount Etna in Sicily. The place most sacred to him, however, was Lemnos, at the foot of Mount Mosychlos; and ancient temple there was said to be the place where Prometheus stole fire to give to humans. He was also highly honored in Athens because of the large population of pottery-makers and metal-workers; every year in October he was honored in a festival called Chalkeia. Broad-shouldered and dark from the forges, he wore a leather apron and leaned on a great staff; considered the common person's deity. He could be found wherever molten metal was poured and forges were used. god of blacksmiths, metalworkers, thunder, lightning, fire, subterranean fires, volcanoes, industry, artisans, craftsmen, jewelry making, mechanics, micro electronics, manual dexterity, hard work, inventiveness, all creative crafts, engineering, building construction.
- Herakles
- "Glory of Hera." A culture hero-demigod symbolizing strength and courage, joy, and wine.
- Hypnos
- He caused sleep by touching the eyelids with his fingers or fanning the person with his dark wings. His three sons were Morpheus, Phoebetor, and Phantasus. It was their job to occupy the sleeper's mind with dreams while the soul traveled. Through dreams they entertained, warned, or punished.

- "Earthshaker"; god of the seas and earthquakes; Supreme Lord of the Inner and Outer Seas; Overloard of Lakes and Rivers. He was the god of everything that swam in or on water. His golden palace was said to be in the depths of the ocean. Pictured as a mature, bearded man; Amphitrite, nereid, was his immortal wife. His mortal wife was Cleito; their ten sons were made rulers of Atlantis. Horses and bulls were associated with him. He was also master of storms, lakes, and rivers. He used his trident to stir the seas to furious storms and to spear the clouds to release floods. He as turbulent and independent. Invoke this god when you want feeling but do not want to get caught in emotionalism.

- Tritons
- Mermen of the Mediterranean, with fish-like tails, scales on the body, sharp fish teeth, and webbed fingers with long claws. The could change the tail to legs and walk on land. their father was a peaceful, helpful deity who assisted sailors in trouble and caused the seas to calm by blowing on his conch shell. His sons, however, were carousers in seaports, causing all kinds of trouble. It was the duty of the Tritons to harness dolphins to Poseidon's chariot and blow conch horns as they swarmed before the Lord of the Ocean.

- Zeus
- Supreme God; Great God; Lord of the Heavens. Pictured wearing a crown of oak leaves and a mantle with his chest and right arm bare; scepter in his left hand and a thunderbolt and eagle at his feet. His sanctuary at Dodona in Epirus contained his sacred oaks and tripods with cauldrons. Oracles were heard by listening to the rustling oak leaves; the cauldrons were struck and the sounds interpreted. His bird was the eagle. He never refused genuine supplicants who asked for his aid, but he inflicted terrible punishments on those who offended him.
